Font System

Overall the timetable for my thesis has shifted a lot. It took a lot longer to get the basis of the font system down than I originally thought. However, with the basis of the system done, the pace of creating characters has sped up. While I am still behind what I originally planned to be, I would at the vastest think that by mid-April all 3 writing system glyphs will be complete too. Granted this isn’t taken in the time to consider revision and adjustments. So, the goal is by the end of March to have Latin and Cyrillic completed and Hebrew halfway done. This means by mid-April I want Hebrew to be completed, this gives a small window to complete additional items for the SOURCE presentation. Which means more items are going to start to overlap more, I’m planning to go ahead and start in use photos now and creating kerning pairs for the currently completed glyphs, whilst working on the remains glyphs. For Latin the characters that need further adjustments or worked on are: C G J K Q R S T I have started work on the Cyrillic glyphs. A decent amount of Latin glyphs transfer over easily into Cyrillic, which has helped in creating the unifying feel across the two writing systems. An Additional Note: Currently I am not doing lowercase letters, I eventually plan to. However, I want to get the baseline characters of these writing systems completed before moving into additional characters.
